Privacy Policy

Magic Messenger is built with one goal: to give you complete control over your privacy. We believe that the best way to protect your data is to never collect it in the first place.

This Privacy Policy explains how Magic Messenger handles information. Spoiler: we collect as little as technically possible.

1. No Registration Required

We do not ask for:

Your name
Your phone number
Your email address
Any other personally identifiable information (PII)

Instead, the app generates a secure, anonymous User ID locally on your device.

2. Messages & Encryption

All communication in Magic Messenger is end-to-end encrypted using RSA 2048 and AES-256 encryption.

We cannot read your messages.
We do not store message content.
We do not store metadata like who you contacted, when, or for how long.

Messages are encrypted locally and only decrypted on the recipient’s device.

3. Secret Notes & Files

All notes and files are encrypted with the same end-to-end technology. They are stored locally or temporarily (if synced across sessions), but never accessible to us.

4. Anonymity by Design

Magic Messenger routes traffic through the TOR network by default, making your connection harder to trace.
We do not track IP addresses, device IDs, or location data.
We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs.

5. Screenshot Blocking & Deletion Features

Screenshots are blocked at the system level where possible.
You may delete all data instantly using the “Delete Everything” button. This removes your entire local data footprint.

We do not retain backups or server copies of any content.

6. Push Notifications

Push notifications may use third-party services (such as Firebase) to deliver alerts. These do not contain message content and are stripped of user-identifying data wherever possible.

You can disable push notifications entirely in your settings.

7. Website & Shop Data (magicmessenger.app)

When you visit our website or shop:

We only collect minimal data necessary for purchases (e.g. billing info, delivery address)
Payments are processed securely via third parties (e.g. Stripe, PayPal)
We do not track browsing behavior for advertising

Cookies may be used for site functionality (e.g. cart, login). You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

8. Third-Party Services

If you choose to use external services through our app or website (e.g. downloading via the App Store, purchasing hardware), your data may be subject to those providers’ terms and privacy policies.

We recommend reviewing those policies directly.
